Summary and Objective

After looking through different types of land transportation from the past, students will compare them to the types of transportation used today. Students will understand that transportation has changed over the years and be able to describe why or why not different types of transportation are still in use.

Teaching Plan

Step 1. Students will learn about various types of transportation that are used today through literature or by watching videos about transportation.

Step 2. Students will view various types of transportation from the Digital Collection showing transportation of the past.

Step 3. The students will decide which types of transportation are still in use today and what each type is used for.

Step 4. Students will decide which types of transportation are no longer in use today and why.

Step 5. The students will discuss why certain types of transportation are still in use today and how they have changed.
