Title: "Bird's Eye View Drawing of the Weantinock Homeland"
Date: approximate year- 1500
from Peabody Museum, Andover, MA.

Small villages, wigwam hamlets, and traditional fishing sites are dispersed throughout the homeland; extensive corn fields can be seen in three localities along the Housatonic and Still Rivers. When the first colonial traders and settlers visited here, this homeland was more than 2,000 years old.
