Colored pigment was mixed with a suitable material, probably linseed oil, to create paint. These five jars of colorful pigment came from the studio of the artist George Fuller at the Bars in Deerfield. It is probable that his son, George Spencer Fuller, and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Fuller, both of whom were artists, also used the pigments.
