This is a list of statistics for the Franklin County, Massachusetts, towns taken from the census of 1865. Included are the number of houses, families and inhabitants, as well as the number of acres planted for each crop and kinds of farm animals. Also included are manufactured products and amounts of agricultural products that were sold. These statistics can be used to form a picture of what life was like in the towns. The Gazette & Courier was the newspaper in Greenfield, Massachusetts, from July 20, 1841 until June 24, 1932. Before 1841 the newspaper's name changed quite frequently, with Gazette a frequent part of the title.
