There is currently no available "Beginner" label. The following is the default level label: Most of the men of Deerfield were not in favor of the cause promoted by Daniel Shays of Pelham and referred to as Shays' Rebellion. Shays was the champion of the impoverished western Massachusetts veterans from the Revolutionary War who, in spite of the lack of resources, were expected to pay taxes to the Commonwealth. In addition to supplies of a military sort, such as powder and cartridges, the list includes wheat, rum, and a sleigh and horse to carry troops to Springfield, presumably to put down the rebellion.
