This letter from the Connecticut Valley Street Railway Co. to George Sheldon of Deerfield, Massachusetts, speaks of an enclosed check to pay for the right of way they had asked for. The signature of the writer has been torn away. 1906 appears to be the date; well after the trolley came to Deerfield. The tone of the letter is very bitter when it talks about Mr. Sheldon's background.
