Between
1748 (age 17) and 1757 (age 26), John Partridge Bull served
in the military in both enlisted and appointed positions.
By the time his military career ended on January 23, 1757,
he had seen active duty for a total of eighteen and a half
months.

Bull's military service had direct bearing on his development
