Madeline Yale Wynne (1847-1918) was an accomplished artisan who was part of the Arts and Crafts movement in Deerfield, Massachusetts at the turn of the twentieth century. She handmade the silver buckles on this pair of twentieth-century shoes. The owner wore the shoes with colonial-style clothing at historic occasions in town.
