W. R. Howard, the author of the letter of February 19, 1900, writes to Miss Baker [C. Alice Baker (1833-1909)]about a letter from Miss Baker asking him to support the laying of the trolley tracks outside of the main street of Deerfield. He feels that a line through the middle of town would be better. He does, however, tell Miss Baker to contact his mother, whom he says is the owner of the property, and admits that she may feel differently.
