Your letter
was reed this morning and
in answer I must refer you
to my mother who is at present
visiting my aunts at #935 Mass.
Ave. as the property in Deerfield
is hers.

Personally I should think it
would be very advantageous both
to property values and the con-
venience of the residents of
Deerfield Street to have the
tracks run through the street
itself and I have hoped for
several years than an electric
line would be put through.

W. R. Howard, the author of the letter of February 19, 1900, writes to Miss Baker [C. Alice Baker (1833-1909)]about a letter from Miss Baker asking him to support the laying of the trolley tracks outside of the main street of Deerfield. He feels that a line through the middle of town would be better. He does, however, tell Miss Baker to contact his mother, whom he says is the owner of the property, and admits that she may feel differently. L99.123
